Rutin ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Rutin mobile application and associated web services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide you with social habit tracking features:

• Account Information: Display name, email address, username, and encrypted account credentials managed securely via Appwrite Cloud authentication.
• Habits & Progress Logs: Habit titles, daily completion statuses, streak counts, and activity timestamps that you create within the app.
• Social Connections: Friendships, friend requests, and social feed events shared with your authorized friends.
• Profile Data: Avatar selection, custom status messages, and preference settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used strictly for the following purposes:

• Syncing your habit progress across your devices and with your accepted friends.
• Enabling live feed notifications when friends mark habits as completed.
• Providing password recovery and account verification services.
• Maintaining platform security and preventing unauthorized access.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Appwrite Cloud databases with strict Row-Level Access Control (RLS). Every document is encrypted and locked so that only you (and where applicable, your accepted friends) can view or access your data.

5. Data Rights & Account Deletion

You have full ownership of your data. You can request account deletion at any time directly in the app under Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account immediately wipes all habits, daily completion logs, friend relationships, feed posts, and profile assets permanently.
